Abstract

This study aims to know the use of ICT and barriers faced by teachers in teaching and learning, also the problem solving towards the utilization of ICT in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum. It uses a descriptive-quantitative approach. The data collection method uses a semi-open questionnaire with 140 simple (teachers). The results showed that: (1) the use of ICT in teaching and learning done by most of teachers are in good category  means they are ready for the implementation of ICT in the 2013 Curriculum, (2) the barriers due to lack of ICT tools completeness, there is no structured programs for mentoring and training of ICT, and there is no commitment and ongoing support of the school's ICT facilities assistance, training fund, and incentives, (3) the problem solving is scheduling the use of ICT tools and innovation in the learning process to maximize the limited ICT tools, unstructured mentoring and peer coaching of ICT without disturbing the learning activities, and free ICT training; and teachers’ expectations are the government through school committed in provide ongoing support to the ICT tools completeness, training fund, and incentives for the use of ICT in learning development.
