ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN MAHASISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN MASALAH MATEMATIS PADA MATA KULIAH ALJABAR LINIER

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the achievement of indicators on students' ability to solve mathematically, and analyze the achievement of completeness in linear algebra material, students' ability to solve problems mathematically both individually and classically. In analyzing the completeness of solving mathematical problems based on the level of student ability, there are three levels: high, medium, and low in the Linear Algebra course. This study uses qualitative descriptive research, the mathematics study program as many as 28 2nd semester students of KH Mukhtar Syafaat University are the subjects in this study. Data collection is the method used, namely data: (1) Test of ability to complete tasks; (2) observation; (3) interviews; and (4) documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and using the one-way ANOVA test. The results obtained: (1) The classical student's task completion ability test (TKMT) did not achieve completeness and the student's TKMT value achieved was more than or equal to 17 students or as many as 60.01% of 2nd semester students; (2) Achievement of each TKMT question indicator, only four indicators achieved more than or equal to 70%, while 3 indicators were less than 70% of the total number of students with the lowest achievement of 50%; (3) differences in the completion of each group based on high, medium and low ability levels, each of which obtained an average of 84.76; 65.85; 47.16. Students with high ability levels and students with medium ability achieved completion of more than 17 students, while students with low abilities had not yet completed.Keywords: Mathematical Solution, Linear Algebra, Completeness Analysis.
