Abstract

Schools play a holistic role in shaping students' character, one of which is instilling discipline. However, low levels of discipline are still frequently encountered. Research conducted at MA Amanatulloh Gambiran focused on students' roles and responsibilities, as well as their self-awareness, in efforts to improve discipline within the educational environment. This research aimed to empower students to recognize their mistakes and motivate them to improve independently. The method used in this research was a qualitative case study. To collect data, the researchers used interviews, observation, and documentation. In this study, they employed interactive data analysis. The data analysis process consisted of several activities: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. After analyzing the collected data, it was found that the level of student discipline at MA Amanatulloh was still suboptimal. Low self-awareness and a lack of responsibility as students were among the main factors contributing to this condition. However, after intervention by the guidance counselor, observations of changes in student attitudes and behavior before and after participating in reality counseling showed significant improvements in self-awareness and responsibility for discipline.
