Bamboo fiber-reinforced biocomposites (BFRCs) are increasingly attracting attention as sustainable alternatives to synthetic composites. This review article highlights the mechanical and thermal performance of bamboo fibers, the innovations in fiber treatment and processing techniques, and the challenges such as fiber-matrix incompatibility and environmental degradation. The study discusses advances in nanofiller integration, hybrid biocomposites, and life cycle assessment. Furthermore, it provides a future outlook on the standardization, biodegradability, and industrial scalability of BFRCs. The review concludes that BFRCs have significant potential for structural applications if key material and processing challenges are addressed.
