IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPERVISION OF STUDENT CHARACTER EDUCATION (Study at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Education Unit Blokagung Banyuwangi)

Supervision of student character education is one of the efforts to maintain the character of students who have good morals. This research aims to determine the implementation of supervision of student character education in the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Education Unit Blokagung Banyuwangi. This research uses a qualitative case study approach with key informants, the Head of the Education and Teaching Unit and supporting informants for the leadership of the education unit at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Blokagung Banyuwangi. The analysis used is an interactive analysis model in the implementation of supervision of student character education. The results of the research show that educational supervision in educational units uses techniques 1) Collecting data 2) Processing data 3) Classifying data 4) Drawing conclusions about target problems according to the circumstances 5) Determining appropriate techniques to use to improve or increase the professionalism of educators. Meanwhile, the technique for implementing supervision is 1) Determining a team of supervisors 2) preparing a supervision schedule 3) carrying out supervision according to schedule. The results of educational supervision on the character of santri include that students who are also santri tend to have better character than students who are not santri, but there are still weaknesses, namely that the discipline and neatness of the santri still require ongoing treatment to realize the character that the Darussalam Islamic boarding school education unit in Blokagung Banyuwangi wants to achieve.
