TAHFIZH HOUSE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT STRATEGY IN IMPROVING SANTRI'S MEMORIZATION OF THE AL-QUR'AN (Multicase Study of Darussalam Junior High School Islamic Boarding School and Darussalam Children's Islamic Boarding School)

Managing the Al-Qur'an tahfizh house program for students who are pursuing formal education is not easy. This is based on the fact that they (students) are not only busy or burdened with ketahfizhan activities (memorization and muroja'ah), but are also burdened with school subjects, namely the Darussalam Junior High School Boarding School and the Darussalam Childhood Boarding School. This research aims to describe how the Al-Qur'an tahfizh program is managed for students who are currently attending formal school at the Darussalam Junior High School Islamic Boarding School and the Darussalam Children's Islamic Boarding School, with sub-focuses: (1) planning analysis of the tahfizh program, (2) evaluation analysis tahfizh program carried out by the Darussalam Junior High School Islamic Boarding School and the Darussalam Children's Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative approach with a multicase study research design. The data collection techniques applied in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. The informants for this research were the tahfizh coordinator, tahfizh teacher. The results of the research show that: (1) The planning of the Al-Qur'an tahfizh house program at the Darussalam Junior High School Islamic Boarding School and the Darussalam Children's Islamic Boarding School is to utilize existing human resources to realize the tahfzih program, a slight difference in the Darussalam Junior High School Islamic Boarding School program The target for Al-Qur'an tahfizh is five juz in three years, while at the Darussalam Children's Islamic Boarding School the target is a six-year education program with three juz.
(2) The types of evaluation used by the two institutions are formative evaluation and summative evaluation.
