Islamic education faces complex challenges in developing leadership character in the current era of globalization. Social changes, technological advances and global dynamics have changed the landscape of Islamic education, demanding innovative approaches that can respond to the demands of the times without losing the essence of Islamic values. This research identifies and analyzes contemporary challenges in developing innovative leadership characteristics in Islamic education, as well as offering adaptive solutions to overcome global trends. In the context of social change, globalization presents new values that often conflict with traditional Islamic values. Technology, such as social media and e-learning, offers great opportunities to increase the accessibility of Islamic education, but also carries the risk of losing Islamic values. Therefore, Islamic education must be able to integrate Islamic values with global competencies in order to remain relevant and effective. Leadership character in Islamic education emphasizes Islamic moral and ethical values, such as justice, integrity and service. For this reason, Islamic education needs to develop innovative strategies that combine traditional values with modern approaches to form leaders who are adaptive and highly competitive at the global level. This research uses a conceptual qualitative approach to explore challenges and solutions in the context of Islamic education. Data was collected through literature study and analyzed with source triangulation and expert review to ensure the validity and relevance of the findings. The research results show that adaptive solutions, which integrate Islamic values with global competencies and modern technology, are needed to answer contemporary challenges.
