The Body Shop dan Zero Waste: Sebuah Strategi Multinational Corporations dengan Keselarasan Sustainable Development Goals 2030 PBB

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs-program pembangunan berkelanjutan) adalah program dari PBB yang diproyeksikan dapat menciptakan masa depan yang lebih baik dan lebih berkelanjutan bagi seluruh umat manusia. Program gagasan dari PBB ini masif dilakukan dan diimplementasikan, baik oleh pemerintah maupun swasta, tanpa terkecuali Multinational Corporations (MNC) seperti The Body Shop. Hal yang sulit dilakukan untuk menjaga kelestarian alam adalah ketika perusahaan hanya mampu menciptakan suatu produk dengan margin keuntungan yang tinggi, tanpa memikirkan bagaimana dampaknya kelak bagi bumi dan isinya. Keadaan ini juga ditambah oleh masyarakat yang kurang peduli terhadap kelestarian alam sehingga strategi khusus perlu diambil untuk membuat alam kembali lestari. The Body Shop merupakan salah satu produk kecantikan yang aktif mengusung kampanye ramah bumi yang juga mendukung program pembangunan berkelanjutan sejak awal mula didirikan. The Body Shop secara aktif mengajak konsumennya melakukan gerakan zero waste, go green dan no animal cruelty melalui kampanye dan produk-produk yang ditawarkan. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis mengeksplorasi bagaimana strategi yang diterapkan oleh The Body Shop yang turut andil membantu tercapainya program pembangunan berkelanjutan.
